Cultúrlann Sweeney
Cultúrlann Sweeney is a 108 seat theatre, gallery space and library in Kilkee, County Clare, bringing the best of arts and entertainment to West Clare.
This was an extensive refurbishment project on the 50 year old Sweeney Memorial Library in Kilkee, Co. Clare. The works involved doubling the size of the building. It reopened in February 2012 as Cultúrlann Sweeney – an expanded cultural centre.
Project Details
Our role in the project involved the complete mechanical and electrical services design and specification for the refurbished building. Our electrical design work included the design and specification of specialist lighting installations in each of the distinct areas of the building (Theatre, Library and Exhibition/Gallery Space). Our mechanical design work incorporated provision of a heating and ventilation system for the theatre, as well as heating and water services installations for the entire premises.
