St. John’s National School, Kenmare, Co. Kerry.
This project involved the construction of a new stand alone two storey 16 no. classroom primary school building. Subsequent to completion of the construction of the main building, an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) unit was constructed as an extension.
Matt O’Mahony & Associates Ltd provided mechanical and electrical services installation design and specification as well as construction co-ordination and monitoring services for both projects. The internal building mechanical and electrical services design for the main building was provided by the Department of Education and Skills. We dealt with all site services, utility connections, as well as any regulatory modifications required to customise the design for this specific project, as well as providing the full design & specification of the M&E installations for the extension.
The mechanical services installation consisted of full services to the new building consisting of heating services, hot & cold water services, ventilation, soil & vent and fire protective services.
The electrical services installation consisted of full services to the new building consisting of lighting services, main distribution, power services, security and protective services.
